Jake Jervis was given a first team squad number ahead of Blues' FA Cup fourth round tie against Everton in January 2010.
The 19-year-old, who had been a regular starter for the reserves during the 2009/10 campaign made his debut as a late substitute against the Toffees at Goodison Park.
Blues won the game 2-1 and Wolverhampton-born Jervis replaced fellow striker Christian Benitez after 79 minutes.
Jervis started his football education as a schoolboy at Wolves and then moved on to Shrewsbury Town from the ages of 12 to 15.
Blues paid a fee to the League Two club to acquire the 6ft 3in striker's services having spotted him playing in a county game for Shropshire against the West Midlands.
In March 2010 Jervis joined League Two side Hereford United on a month-long loan deal and scored 11 minutes into his debut for the Bulls in their 2-0 win against Bradford City.
