Ricky Hatton
Ricky 'The Hitman Hatton'
More than 500 guests enjoyed a superb evening of entertainment last night as Blues staged a successful sporting dinner with boxing legend Ricky Hatton.

The venue for the event was the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, which was decked out like a boxing venue, with a square stage in the centre of the room to resemble a boxing ring.

Guests from across the Midlands, including Blues managing director Michael Dunford and former Brummie boxing champion Wayne Elcock, enjoyed a luxury four-course meal and top class entertainment, before Hatton took to the stage.

In one of his final public speaking events before returning to the ring later this year 'The Hitman' regaled the audience for an hour with tales from his illustrious boxing career, as well throwing in a liberal mix of comedy.

The event also saw thousands of pounds raised for MacMillan Cancer Research and Cancer Research UK as Hatton conducted an auction of sporting memorabilia.

Below you can see a selection of photos from the event.
